My family and I attended last years Trunk-N-Treat and had a great time. It was really fun meeting everyone and I think our kids had fun. If it was held again this year, I think we would attend. That being said... I also think there is something to be said for good olde fashioned door-to-door trick or treating. Growing up I never went Trunk-N-Treating, but I do remember running and giggling from door to door and seeing all of the houses decorated up with scary music, witches, cobwebs and an occasional Frankenstein coming to a door to hand me candy. I also remember all of the "big kids" still coming to the door after we got back from our early trick-or-treating while we were sitting on the floor scarfing down our candy. I guess I'm just reminiscing now, but it seems like door-to-door may be a sadly lost tradition that I for one would like to see come back. I think the last Trunk-N-Treat was organized by a few neighbors with contributions by many, and again, if someone were to organize it I am sure we would participate and help out, but I for one wouldn't mind just following my kids from door to door and watching them have fun that way either.
